INTRODUCTION<\/h3>\n

The AS Cashiers and Ticket Office<\/a> offers a variety of services to the UCSB Campus ranging from event tickets to emergency loans. For information about on-campus events and to purchase tickets, click here.<\/a><\/p>\n

TICKETS<\/h3>\n

The Associated Students Cashiers and Ticket Office is currently the centralized ticketing hub at UCSB for Athletic Events<\/a> as well as the Associated Students Program Board<\/a>, the Multi-Cultural Center<\/a>, the Department of Music<\/a>, the Department of Theater and Dance<\/a>, and student events. This past year AS Program Board celebrated Halloween with Delirium and the beginning of Spring with The Warm Up. The Harlem Globetrotters put on a successful exhibition in February at the Thunderdome and Men\u2019s Soccer made it to the first round of the NCAA Division I playoffs.<\/p>\n

For presenters, the ticketing process all starts with the UCSB Events site<\/a>, events.ucsb.edu. This is a campus wide calendar of events. Once the presenter’s\u00a0event is entered and registered on that website, a Ticket Office representative will reach out to arrange the details.<\/p>\n

The Cashiers and Ticket Office also\u00a0sells discounted theme park tickets to Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Legoland, Seaworld, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Raging Waters and the San Diego Zoo.<\/p>\n

The local Metro Movie Theaters chain offers two types of tickets through the ticket office, also at a discount.<\/p>\n

AS PUBLICATIONS CLASSROOM READERS AND LECTURE NOTES<\/h3>\n

Along with on-campus ticketing, the AS Cashiers and Ticket Office also\u00a0sells class readers and lecture notes printed by AS\u00a0Publications<\/a>.<\/p>\n

SANTA BARBARA MTD BUS PASSES<\/h3>\n

Registered students can pick up their Santa Barbara MTD<\/a> bus stickers at the ticket office’s side window. The passes allow students to ride all\u00a0city busses for free. The program is funded\u00a0by students through a campus-wide lock-in. Students negotiate with MTD regarding the\u00a0cost and give feedback regarding routes that are most useful to students. The lock-in must be reaffirmed every 4 years.<\/p>\n

iCLICKER PROGRAM<\/h3>\n

\"11021095_1612108622342881_8227452855077230226_n\"<\/a>In Spring of this year the Ticket Office\u00a0began rolling out a new product, iClicker rentals, brought to them\u00a0by the AS Controller\u2019s Office. An iClicker is a small device used in some classes that allows professors and students to interact, respond to survey questions and aid in group participation. These devices can cost Students up to $40 and will often only be used for one or two classes during their college career. With this new program students will be able to borrow\u00a0an iClicker from the ticket office\u00a0for one semester, avoiding a potentially costly investment in a device with little functionality beyond classroom use. The pilot program this year was not revenue generating. The iClickers were borrowed\u00a0for free. Future iterations of the program may involve a nominal fee.<\/p>\n

EMERGENCY LOANS<\/h3>\n

AS\u00a0offers emergency loans<\/a> to undergraduates of up to $600 per quarter at the Cashiers and Ticket Office windows. The\u00a0loans are interest free, but an AS\u00a0administrative processing fee of five dollars as well as a BARC office charge of ten dollars per loan application is\u00a0assessed. Students can receive one\u00a0loan per quarter\u00a0and they are available\u00a0to all eligible applicants during all academic quarters. Reference the chart below for loan amounts.

INKJET TONER CARTRIDGE PROGRAM<\/h3>\n

Working with AS Recycling<\/a>, the Cashiers and Ticket Office makes re-manufactured\u00a0toner cartridges available to students at a 50% discount.<\/p>\n
