It also reflects student concerns more broadly, statewide, nationally, and even internationally.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/flashback.as.ucsb.edu\/2014-15\/files\/2015\/06\/coverdone2-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-large wp-image-725 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/flashback.as.ucsb.edu\/2014-15\/files\/2015\/06\/coverdone2-1-663x1024.jpg\" alt=\"coverdone2-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"988\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Created by Living History Project Coordinator Mahader Tesfai, it&#8217;s an open-access digital history project that explores\u00a0the ways in which increased UCSB students engagement with the university and surrounding community has shaped local history. Integrating images, video, audio, and text the\u00a0project includes\u00a0the histories of as many communities as possible. The Scalar format allows the reader to to move through the material in unique and varied ways that\u00a0allows for a greater understanding of how various histories are interconnected. Currently, the content can be viewed through the 26 chapters covering a range of\u00a0student initiatives and actions. In the near future readers will be able to view the material through historical themes and multiple paths interweaving the content.
