The Business Services Committee seeks proposals for business enterprises or ventures A.S. could engage in to serve students and the campus. The committee recommends possible businesses to Legislative Council after careful consideration of proposals. This past year the A.S. Food Bank was added to the new services A.S. offers.
The committee also consults with existing A.S. businesses and services, including the A.S. Bike Shop, A.S. Cashiers and Ticket Office, A.S. Publications, and the A.S. Legal Resource Center. The committee makes recommendations to the Legislative Council and the A.S. Executive Director regarding possible improvements and expansion of services and serves as a liaison between A.S. business managers, student employees and Legislative Council.
