Legal Resource Center
The Associated Students Legal Resource Center (ASLRC) started over 30 years ago as a result of a student initiative to provide free legal counseling services to the UCSB campus. An ASLRC attorney is available to consult with all registered UCSB students on any issue or concern in which legal education would be helpful, unless it involves the university or another UCSB student.
The Legal Resource Center is committed to advising students of all available legal options, and helping them find and achieve practical resolutions for any legal matters outside the university. As in past years, they also worked with the IV Tenants Union and local law enforcement agencies to present workshops addressing legal issues that students encounter most often, such as tenants’ rights and responsibilities, and alcohol related infractions.
