EVENTS
CODE and Best Buddies Event
During Disabilities Awareness Week CODE hosted an event with Best Buddies. The week specifically focused on invisible disabilities.
An invisible disability refers to symptoms such as debilitating pain, fatigue, dizziness, weakness, cognitive dysfunctions, learning differences, and mental disorders, as well as hearing and vision impairments which are not always immediately apparent to the onlooker.
The event included 5 short Best Buddies films and a brief discussion afterwards. It was a great opportunity to learn more about invisible disabilities as well as spread the word about CODE and Best Buddies.
Study Jams in the AS Annex
During midterms, CODE hosted Taco Tuesday study jams in the AS Annex. They brought free food, scantrons and blue books to the events.
