Media Center
INTRODUCTION
The A.S. Media Center has been revived! Its purpose is to make media equipment available to students for film and photography projects. Unlike other equipment resources on campus, the equipment is available to all students, not just those enrolled in a particular class or a specific program.
Response has been very positive! Students are checking out equipment on a regular basis. They’re also using the center’s computers to do post-production work.
The center also offers free basic skills workshops. For students who want to hone their skills individual advising is available. Although this year the workshops weren’t well attended we’re confident that this will change over time as more and more students are aware of the center and what it has to offer.
An unexpected benefit of the center has been to provide a study space for students that is both quiet and has computers available for working on assignments and other projects.
