INTRODUCTION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The Committee on Committee’s mission is to welcome students to AS and help them find out about all the opportunities waiting for them in AS. With over 60 student organizations, it’s easy to find a place to get involved. The COC website lists openings on AS committees, boards, and groups and provides details  on what’s needed to apply.

What this description based on text from the Committee on Committees website omits is that AS could not function without COC and that the committee’s work is extremely challenging as AS committee, commission, and unit members come and, unfortunately, go during the course of the year.

The committee is responsible for making sure that AS groups are adequately staffed with members to fulfill the duties designated in the AS Legal Code. It’s a major challenge and requires dedication throughout the year. The COC website lists opening as they come up and is one of the key resources available to students who want to get involved in AS.

Ultimately, the committee’s diligence helped ensure that AS had another productive year.
