The annual UCSB Convocation took place on a picture perfect day. AS President Ali Guthy welcomed the incoming class of freshmen and transfer students to our campus by the sea. She encouraged them to get involved in campus life and to take the new I Heart UCSB Pledge developed by students in response to the May 23rd tragedy. Culminating the ceremony, Chancellor Henry Yang inducted the class of 2018 and a new year began filled with hope and promise.
