INTRODUCTION
Students use the equipment for projects ranging from the personal to class assignments to a variety of documentary and creative projects. A few have also taken advantage of the post production software on the Media Center computers.
Recognizing the value of the center to both the general student body and AS itself, students have been increasingly supportive and provided funding for equipment and software purchases. The purpose of these purchases is to make equipment available to more students and to give them the tools to make their productions as professional as possible.
WORKSHOP WEDNESDAYS
The Media Center’s Workshop Wednesday’s series has offered a variety of weekly workshops throughout the year. The workshops are taught by both AS staff and students. They are open to both students and UCSB career staff. Although attendance has been low, the center staff is confident that it will increase as word gets out about the quality and applicability of the workshops.
