Community Financial Fund (CFF)

The Community Financial Fund (CFF) began in the 2010-2011 school year with passage of a $2.10 lock-in student fee. CFF was created to assist students by providing more access to grants and helping supplement the current Associated Students emergency loan program. This Fund also includes a credit builder program, regular financial literacy workshops, and helps students learn about financial resources and services available on the UCSB campus and within Santa Barbara County.

Financial Literacy Workshops are an integral part of the CFF program and attendance it mandatory for all loan recipients. The workshops, which are offered throughout the year, give students a comprehensive overview of the basics of managing their finances. These are critical skills and the goal is for students to establish sound habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.
